Dr. Caesar Alaienia is from Dix Hills, NY.  Dr. Alaienia earned his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from Long Island University in Brooklyn and completed his PGY-1 residency at Stony Brook Medicine.  He is board certified as a critical care pharmacist (BCCCP) and a pharmacotherapy specialist (BCPS).  As Stony Brook Medicine’s critical care clinical pharmacist, Dr. Alaienia works with the healthcare team in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and he was an integral member of the development of Stony Brook Medicine’s Neuro ICU.   Dr. Alaienia’s interests include developing hospital policies and protocols, reviewing the addition of new medications to the hospital formulary as a member of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, and mentoring pharmacy residents.

In his free time, Dr. Alaienia is very involved with the Long Island Society of Healthsystem Pharmacists, previously holding positions as President and executive board member.  He is passionate about advancing the pharmacy profession in New York State and across the country.  He enjoys spending time at the beach, hiking, and exploring eastern Long Island on his bike.
